Financial Services Guide

Important information to help you decide

This Financial Services Guide (FSG) provides important information to help you decide whether to use the financial services offered by Terrabella Wealth. It outlines who we are, what services we provide, how we are paid, how we handle complaints, and your rights as a client.

Terrabella Wealth is a privately owned financial advice business working primarily with regional and farming families. We specialise in intergenerational wealth planning, retirement strategies, investment advice, and succession planning.

We are not owned by any financial institution. This ensures our advice is clear, client-focused, and free from external influence or conflict of interest.

We are authorised to provide financial advice and deal in the following financial products:

  • Basic and non-basic deposit products
  • Government bonds and securities
  • Life insurance products (investment and risk)
  • Managed investment schemes (including IDPS)
  • Superannuation and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)
  • Retirement savings accounts
  • Listed securities
  • Margin lending facilities
  • Managed Discretionary Accounts (MDAs)

Please refer to your adviser’s individual Adviser Profile for details on the specific services they are authorised to provide.

If you receive personal advice, you will be given a Statement of Advice (SoA). This document explains the advice, the reasons behind it, and discloses any relevant fees or associations. For ongoing advice, you may receive a Record of Advice (RoA). If we recommend a financial product, you will also receive a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) detailing the product’s features, risks, and costs.

To help us provide appropriate advice, we ask that you:

  • Provide complete and accurate information about your financial situation and goals
  • Inform us of any changes to your circumstances
  • Carefully read all advice documents and PDSs
  • Keep your contact details current

You may choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may limit the relevance and suitability of our advice.

You can provide instructions to us in person, by phone, by email, or as otherwise agreed.

You’ll always be informed of fees before any services are provided. Our fees may include:

  • Fee for Service – a flat fee agreed upon in advance
  • Hourly Rate – based on time and complexity
  • Ongoing Fees – for continued advice and service, disclosed annually via a Fee Disclosure Statement
  • Commission – for insurance products, we may receive:
  • Up to 60% of the first year’s premium (initial)
  • Up to 20% of ongoing premiums (ongoing)

All fees, including any commissions, will be disclosed in your Statement of Advice. You will not be charged unless you agree to proceed.

Fees may be paid by:

  • Deduction from your investment
  • Direct invoicing
  • A combination of the above

We may occasionally receive minor non-monetary benefits under $300 (such as event invitations or training). A register of these benefits is available on request.

We do not provide the following services:

  • Tax or accounting advice
  • Mortgage or loan arrangement
  • SMSF auditing or administration
  • Payment of bills or direct access to your bank accounts

If we refer you to a related entity for such services, that is done outside the scope of our financial advice obligations.

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and store your personal information securely and use it only for providing advice and services to you. You may access or correct your personal records at any time. A copy of our full Privacy Policy is available on request.
